  • Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our manufacturing clients

    based in Gorleston, who are currently seeking a CAD Engineer to join their team

    on a temporary basis, with a view of going permanent, although this is not

    Role Summary

    CAD Engineer is responsible for the achieving scheduled completion of allocated

    projects within the budgeted time to specification with maximum safety and

    reliability of the equipment which is manufactured.

    Overall,

    ensure customer satisfaction for the services and equipment supplied to the

    Accountabilities

    produce initial drawings as required by the Proposal Engineers in a timely

    fashion ensuring deadlines are achieved.

    maintain project drawings for Project Engineers are produced in a timely

    fashion ensuring project milestones are achieved.

    produce fabrication drawings with sufficient detail ensuring accurate take-offs

    by the fabricator thus minimising additional costs throughout the build stage

    and keeping lead times to the schedule.

    Ensure

    that all lifting arrangements fully satisfy the requirements of the specified

    Ensure

    that all structural members are fully detailed in line with the structural

    calculations produced by the structural engineer. In absence of any structural

    calculations best practice shall be followed.

    maintain a 3D model library for on-going and future projects allowing quick,

    easy and accurate insertion into project general arrangement drawings.

    develop 3D models for presentation purposes thus aiding marketing departments.

    Ensure

    the quality management system and design procedures are followed, and standards

    Maintain

    and promote a professional and harmonious relationship with the client and with

    the customers’ representatives.

    ONC in

    Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

    Understanding

    and implementation of engineering specifications.

    Ability

    to communicate with clients / client’s representatives.

    Able

    to work under pressure and respond to the demands of a high and varied

    Proven

    track record in the design of Hydraulic / Pneumatic / Electrical topside

    equipment for the Oil & Gas Industry.

    Demonstrate

    a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.

    Follow

    the client, and where appropriate Client’s, Quality, Health, Safety &

    Environment Policies and Safety Management Systems.

    Promote

    a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example to ensure company

    goals are achieved and exceeded.
