Role Responsibility

Building & maintaining relationships is central to everything that we do at Cash for Kids. Whether that is internally with our Bauer Media colleagues or externally with local businesses, community groups, individual fundraisers or the beneficiaries whom we support.

  • You’ll be responsible for;
  • Delivery of our calendar of fundraising campaigns including the key pillars; Cash for Kids Day and Mission Christmas.
  • Hitting individual KPIs that will ensure the local Business Plan targets are achieved.
  • Building, developing & sustaining external relationships with corporates, major donors, community groups, individual fundraisers and local authorities.
  • Continuing to embed the charity as an integral part of Free Radio & Greatest Hits Radio in the West Midlands; to help support, strengthen and deepen the radio stations connections with its local communities.
  • Being on the constant lookout for opportunities to fundraise in the West Midlands by partnering with local events.
  • Maximising the fundraising potential from all campaigns & events.
  • Ensuring the day to day administration of the charity is delivered to the highest quality standard with superb attention to detail.
  • Implementing tactical communication plans for the charity locally including website, PR, social media & influencer engagement.
  • Ensuring implementation of systems & processes to ensure the integrity of the funds raised and the disbursement of those funds in line with central finance guidelines and procedures.
  • Managing the stakeholder relationships with key Bauer staff including local presenters, content teams, marketing teams & commercial teams.

    This is a busy role that requires you to be creative, organised, passionate, enthusiastic & driven. But it’s a role where you’ll be rewarded with real first-hand experience of what a difference Cash for Kids makes to children & young people in the local community.

  • To succeed in this role you’ll;
  • Be energetic, positive, persuasive and enthusiastic, with a hands-on approach and great work ethic.
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of building, developing & managing key relationships.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative & prioritise your time effectively.
  • Have a background in charity fundraising across a number of disciplines.
  • Possess excellent networking skills and be able to increase the charity’s network of corporate supporters and the number of organisations who apply to the charity for grants.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and use them to work with people both internally and externally.
  • Be able to inspire people with your passion for the charity.
  • Ideally have previous experience of working with the media to promote fundraising initiatives.
  • Be able to work on own initiative to ensure delivery of targets.
  • Have strong computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Have good knowledge of key social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & LinkedIn) and how to use them effectively.
  • Be a team player to develop a good working relationship with the charity team, wider radio station teams and national charity team.
  • Have flexibility to work evenings / weekends as required.
  • Be based in the key area you will cover the West Midlands.
  • Hold a current, full clean UK driving licence
