As a Content Ediorial Manager you will be accountable for all Editorial and Data delivery, this position leads the delivery of standards content across all delivery channels, including HTML, PDF and hard copy.
The role reports to the Editorial and Data Manager, who is accountable for all Editorial and Data delivery. This is a line management role overseeing a team of Content Editors and a Production Content Editor.
You will manage an operational, content-focussed editorial team responsible for a high volume of standards and non-standards throughput.
This team provides a quality editorial service (copyediting in XML, XML typesetting, proofreading, content analysis) on standards and non-
standards content for a range of products / outputs. The Content Editorial team’s primary outputs will be the delivery of standards adoptions and their amendments, white papers, expert commentary and other value-
add content. The Content Editors will work with other teams within Content Solutions to constantly strive to deliver the optimal processing of content, whilst maintaining the required quality levels.
This is a line management role overseeing a team of Content Editors and a Production Content Editor. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Line management, including coaching, development performance management, recruitment, training and review, of Content Editorial team, including Content and Production Content Editors.
Ensuring that team structure can flex and scale as required and respond to the changing needs of the business. This includes setting up outsource suppliers and managing their operational throughput.
Supporting the Editorial and Data Manager in tasks across the team, e.g. resource management, introducing best practice, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and recruitment Facilitate the efficient use of shared resources between the Content Editorial team and other teams across Content Solutions.
Liaising with Product and New Content Services teams regarding Applying thorough knowledge of the rules and guidelines appropriate to the publication of European / international adoptions and their amendments Prioritising the team's workload and projects to meet commercial or reputational opportunities Supporting other non-
support associated governance policies Working with XML team to analyse new or changing incoming content feeds to ensure content conforms to governance principles and internal processes Ensuring that QA activity of typeset or rendered content is managed appropriately Ensuring integrity of metadata in all project-
related activity Performing user acceptance testing for product and / or software functionality where appropriate Managing operational XML typesetting activities with external supplier, including error reporting, enhancements and day-
to-day support Acting as the lead point of contact for Content Editorial and responding to queries and issues escalated by other teams and departments
