    Job Introduction

    For the past 18-months. Mail Metro Media has been delivering on the priorities of UK SME’s. Supporting them to find customers using new and innovative platforms allowing them to scale their businesses.

    Right now, we do this in two ways.

    Our dedicated SME platform AdManager, helps small and medium sized clients buy our highly engaged audiences in a self-serve environment.

    We’ve also created The AdManager Agency Partner Programme, offering agencies with SME customers automated access to our inventory, along with a dedicated team to optimise the results.

    As part of our continued commitment to SME growth, we’re now looking to expand our digital team in the Northwest area.

    This newly created position would suit an established sales professional with a proven track record of developing high value accounts using an extensive range of digital products and services.

    As a Regional Digital Account Director your portfolio will include Video, Paid Social, Paid Search and all of Mail Metro Media’s owned and operated market leading newspaper brands : MailOnline, Metro., and, which are accessed by 33 million people each month.

    Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying and winning high value new business by pro-actively hunting for new digital opportunities within your market
  • Develop and maintain a commercial plan with a clear picture on key opportunities, linked to a practical sales strategy to develop relationships and revenue.
  • Selling Mail Metro Media’s digital portfolio, using a model designed to maximise revenue for the business in the long term alongside meeting the customers’ requirements.
  • Building long lasting and meaningful relationships with business owners from various sectors within your territory.
  • Delivering revenue growth within your customer base, through effective account management, reporting ROI and delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Provide accurate, clear, and detailed reporting of your sales activity, KPI’s, Sales Pipeline and customer prospecting activity to the business on a weekly basis.
  • Develop and nurture relationships across the SME commercial team and within the wider Mail Metro Media business.
  • Person Specification

  • Digital savvy individual with a minimum 2 years’ experience in selling high value new business in the digital marketing field.
  • You will have an excellent track record of selling digital advertising solutions across Social, Search and Display and will have a practical working knowledge of PPC and Paid Social, ideally at an accredited level although this is not essential.
  • Be able to create compelling advertising solutions coupled with the ability to present and communicate them immaculately as concepts to direct customers.
  • An excellent track record of new business development and ongoing revenue growth within a territory.
  • Excellent prospecting, networking, influencing, negotiation and closing skills.
  • You’ll be a self-starter, who is able to work in a remote environment for much of the time.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and administrative ability
  • You will have the ability to set, manage and deliver against both your own goals the goals of the business and those of your clients.
