We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic that wants to take the next step in their career as a Product Support Advisor.
As a Product Support Advisor, you will maximise operation and product reliability, while also conducting regular equipment inspections.
This is a hands-on role, with additional duties to carry out diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on customer Caterpillar equipment.
The ideal person will lead by example through actions, behaviour and decision making, including compliance with Westrac’s procedures, safe working practices and life-saving rules.
Location : Koolyanobbing - 54km northeast town of Southern Cross

8 days on, 6 days off, 12.5hr shifts (inclusive of 30 mins. break)
2 / 1 roster, 12.5hr shifts (inclusive of 30 mins. break)
To be successful the following is required :
Australian-recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade experience
Ability to provide high-level technical support
Sound diagnostic skills
Advanced ability to interpret repair & fault-finding guides
Understanding of warranty provisions
Demonstrated ability in providing exceptional stakeholder engagement
Strong communication skills
Heavy equipment product knowledge on various Caterpillar equipment
Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac’s SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer
