As the Group matures, the Group FP&A function becomes ever more important in providing insight and analysis to support our fast growing business. As a result, we are expanding the team to build further capability into this area and are looking for an FP&A Finance Manager - Projects Lead to join the Group Finance team based in London on a permanent basis

This role is one of three FP&A Finance Manager positions, reporting to the Head of Group FP&A. You will be working closely with the regional FP&A Teams, Group Reporting Team, Group CFO and Management Board. 

Each of the three FP&A Finance Managers will have a specific lead area of responsibility, however, they are expected to support one another in peak times or when business needs dictate. 

 

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

  • Detailed P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet analysis, identifying business trends, risks and opportunities 
  • Develop insight on business non financial KPIs
  • Provide accurate and timely information to the Group CFO and Group Management Board to support business decision making
  • Provide critique and challenge to regional data - from both a financial and operational perspective  
  • Work closely with the Group IR Director to support external results announcements
  • Lead the development of OneStream functionality for FP&A, working closely with the Senior Finance Systems Analyst for technical support 
  • Build strong coaching relationships with regional teams to open up communication and trust, and share best practice.
  • Process improvement projects

 

Specific Project responsibilities include:

  • Provide ad hoc analysis for topical FP&A issues. These could arise as a result of emerging internal trends or in response to external and competitor activity
  • Establish and manage a Group capital investment appraisal process, covering both pre and post investment appraisal
  • Improve Group Capex reporting and Capex Budget accuracy 
  • Enhance and develop Marketing analysis across the Group, focussing on Return on Investment metrics such as Payback and CAC  
  • Improve Group Inventory analysis and insight, working closely with the Finance Manager for Reporting and Budgeting
  • Business Partner to the Group CTO, providing analytical and financial support

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualified accountant with a progressive record of success within a fast moving, forward thinking listed company
  • A low-ego intellect who can quickly get to the heart of an issue and is comfortable communicating it clearly to peers and to top management
  • Highly Analytical, able to draw conclusions from large data volumes at pace 
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, to cut through complex issues
  • Strong Excel skills with experience of a Global EPM tool (Onestream, Hyperion/HFM)
  • Flexible attitude and ability to cope well with the demands of a rapidly growing company
  • A strong focus on delivery and the ability to both plan and implement the outcomes
  • Very high level of initiative and self-motivation
  • A friendly, curious and considerate team player who demonstrates a desire to learn and willingness to support the goals of the wider organisation
