Working in the University Libraries, you will support the Collections Coordinator and Collections Assistant (Collection Management) in maintaining a high-quality Library environment and ensuring optimal access to resources for all stakeholders within available Library space.
You will empty book bins, clear items from tables, ensure the prompt return of print material to the library shelves within published service standards, and re shelve items in a tidy and accurate manner.
You will assist with a range of collection management activities including collection editing and deselection and assist with collection moves within the libraries.
You will respond to and appropriately refer Library enquiries into Ask4Help and retrieve items from the shelves to fulfil reservations and inter library loan requests, and to support the work of other Library teams and services.
Post 1, 0.54 FTE 20 hours per week all year, working from 8am to 12 noon Monday to Friday at City Campus.
Post 2, 0.41 FTE 15 hours per week all year, working from 2pm to 5pm Monday to Friday at City Campus.
Post 3, 0.41 FTE - 15 hours per week all year, working from 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday at City Campus.
Post 4, 0.41 FTE 15 hours per week all year, working from 12 noon to 3pm Monday to Friday at City Campus and Coach Lane Campus.
Post 5, 0.41 FTE 15 hours per week all year, working from 5pm-8pm 4 evenings Monday to Friday and Sunday 1-4pm at Coach Lane Campus.

You must be committed to providing excellent customer service and able to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are also essential.
Physical fitness is necessary for this role, which requires heavy manual handling, including lifting and moving of materials and equipment, and the use of trolleys and elevators to transport Library materials.
These roles are Campus based.
