Introduction

An excellent opportunity to work with one of the largest electronics companies in the world has arisen as they look for a Java Developer to work from their office in Weybridge, Surrey on an initial 11 month fixed term contract.

The Job

Working for this household name, the main responsibility of the Java Developer is to develop, support and maintain internal and external business support applications.

This is an initial 11 month FTC with a view to going permanent pending successful completion.

Required skills and experience :

Essential :

Java development and familiarity with Java related technologies

Object Orientated Design and Development

Ability to liaise with internal and external customers at all levels

Knowledge on ETL process (any previous experience with similar applications would be an added advantage)

Good documentation skills

Advantage :

Advanced Database skills (MS SQL Server, Oracle)

Apache Tomcat, Oracle Weblogic WAS experience

Advanced level front end skills (HTML, XML, Javascript, CSS)

Experience in SOAP & REST based services

What you get in return :

A basic annual salary of up to £47,000 (depending upon experience)

25 days annual leave

Up to 15% performance based bonus per annum
