Are you looking for your next step in your chef career? The Belfry Hotel & Resort has a new opportunity for a Chef De Partie to join our team in Sam’s Club House.

Ideally you will have at least two years’ experience and be looking for a position that can build on this. We can offer you fine dining, refinement and volume to help build on your existing skills.

Your new department

Sam’s Club House is our resort sports bar, a modern sports outlet with a club house feel open from breakfast till bedtime.

Sam’s offers a choice of areas within the outlet from large sofas to relax, Sam’s Club House dining restaurant and a lively bar area.

Surrounded by large screen TV’s showing a variety of sports, Sam’s is a hub of activity for casual meetings and pre and post golf eating and drinking.

The menu in Sam’s Club House is a mixture of clubhouse classics and Belfry touches from sharing boards, burgers, and buckets of wings to wraps, pies and catch of the day In summer season the outside patio and bar opens and can provide dining options for up to 250 guests at any time and approximately 500 covers per day.

The Head Chef comes from a fine dining and volume led site and is passionate about the speed of service. Accuracy is key in this kitchen and getting it right first time is expected.

He leads in a firm but fair way and is able to offer a host of training and delegation skills while you work within his department.

What your day will look like

A Chef De Partie will assume responsibility for delivering a great section, working alongside your teammates to ensure that the food goes out within agreed time parameters.

A Chef De Partie will prepare from when the outlet opens ready for lunch, Sam’s remains pretty constant from this point forward as we offer evening menu and bar snacks until the kitchen closes at 22.

00 pm. If you want to work in a pub / club house business then this is the perfect place to give you volume training and an eye for detail.

Duties of the role

Set up and preparation of menus items for your section ready for food service, numbers based on hotel occupancy for the resort and you will prepare food in advance for the coming week you may also be expected to take ownership for the kitchen in the absence of the kitchen management team.

  • Cooking and delivering beautifully crafted food using the best ingredients sourced from local suppliers
  • An understanding of the importance of allergens and dietary safety within your kitchen
  • Responsibility for all temperature logging for hot items and refrigerators to ensure full compliance
  • Running a section of the kitchen throughout a busy service and providing support to your team mates to ensure a fast and
  • accurate delivery.

  • Clearing and cleaning of your section and other areas of the kitchen to ensure we remain compliant
  • Understanding of COSHH and HACCP on food storage.
  • Work towards guidelines of portion control including weights and measurements and logging all wastage for more accurate
  • GP %

  • Working Hours & Holiday Entitlement

    48 Hour Contract, 5 out of 7 days Shifts Pattern 09.30 22.30 with one hour break entitlement.

    Holiday entitlement 28 days increasing to 31 days after 2 calendar years and 33 after 5 calendar years
