Seasalt is a modern Cornish company with an ambitious vision and over 1000 employees nationwide. The People team are responsible for all HR related activities at Seasalt including employee relations, reward, payroll, recruitment, learning and development and onboarding.

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will prepare and oversee all payroll functions including reconciliation of control accounts and preparation of statutory accounting entries.

  • You'll help us by;
  • Payroll administration :

  • Processing multiple monthly payrolls from start to finish
  • Processing starters, leavers, and all amendments in a timely manner
  • Administering all statutory payments according to government legislation, i.e. SSP, SMP, SAP and SPP
  • Gathering, checking and inputting time records
  • Recording sickness, absence and holidays
  • Calculating holiday entitlement and payments
  • Tracking month end adjustments to hours for pay purposes
  • Producing monthly journals, reports and KPI's
  • Dealing with payroll deductions such as loan agreements and court orders
  • Processing of Childcare Vouchers, gym memberships and other employee benefits Assisting with Auto Enrolment / Pension
  • Dealing with Year End processes and procedures
  • Providing advice to employees and managers in relation to pay
  • Be up to date with RTI processes and other government legislation
  • Communicating effectively with other departments, such as HR and Finance
  • General administration :

  • Maintaining employee databases for external requirements
  • Communicating with employees for the purpose of passed probations and long service awards
  • Assisting with reports and KPI's as required Manage employee queries via telephone and email and passing on messages
  • Filing and archiving
  • Any other duties as required by the needs of the business
  • The skills you'll be sharing with the team;
  • With prior experience in a payroll administrative role, you'll be highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, organisation and Microsoft Office skills.

    An analytical mind and good problem solving skills are key, as is the ability to work to deadlines.

    You'll also be great with people, a team player willing to be flexible and help out where needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential in order to provide a great service to our people.

    Experience using iTrent would be highly advantageous.
