Building Maintenance Operatives

Hours : 08 : 30 to 17 : 30 Monday Friday - 40 hrs / week
About the team :
Our client is looking to build a small maintenance team of around 15 20 employees. This is a full time role with immediate start.
The role is predominantly based within the North West however; you will be expected to travel to various locations such as the midlands and Yorkshire to carry out your role.
Their sites vary from residential apartments and houses, industrial units, office blocks and commercial units all throughout the mid-north of England.
They are looking for someone who is flexible with his or hers working hours and has a range of skills who can meet the needs of the sites.
Building Maintenance Operative Responsibilities :
You will be attending to calls raised by the estates and building manager; you must have a good knowledge of general property and maintenance repairs.
You will be working to a building maintenance schedule and sometimes to tight deadlines; you will need to have a record of accomplishment in working under pressure and delivering projects on time.
Covering small patch repairs, and replacing suspended ceiling tiles.
Rehanging of doors, swapping sockets / switches, first and second fixing electric and plumbing.
Construction of stud walls, plastering, carpentry works decorating and cladding works.
You will be working as part of the building management team to ensure that the building is maintained and that refurbishments can be undertaken in a scheduled time scale.
Building Maintenance Operative Requirements :
Background in construction, commercial building and office maintenance and a familiarity with systems typically installed within them.
Comparable experience in similar roles.
Good organisational / communication skills.
Able to work on your own initiative.
Preferable : IPAF
Building Maintenance Operative Current Opportunities :
1x Foreman Qualifications required - SSSTS or SMSTS
2x General Plumber - Qualifications required NVQ Level 2 or 3 plumbing and heating
qualifications. Gas safe license required
2x General Electrician - Qualifications required Level 3 (NVQ) diploma in electrical services
or Level 3 (NVQ) in installing electrical systems and equipment. NICEIC BS 7671 - 18 th edition.
2x General Joiners - Qualifications required minimum NVQ Level 2 in joinery / carpentry
2x Decorators Qualifications required NVQ Level 2 in painting and decorating
4x General maintenance / handyman
2x Cladding Fitter - Qualifications required NVQ Level 2 required
