As a valued-member of our Health & Safety team you’ll be working across our sites & depots in the South-East, based in Enfield your role will be as diverse as it is varied.
Our Health, Safety & Environment teams are responsible for our bakery and distribution sites and ensuring standards are maintained and improved continuously.
You will be involved in managing and supporting Health, Safety & Environmental training courses, working with our trainers to supply content and ideas and delivering key Health & Safety training at site so you’ll be confident in promoting and presenting to groups of people.
You will have experience in safety management systems and compliance, and using your investigation skills you will identify non-
conformities in data and work with our teams to implement an action plan. We’ll need your skills in auditing and compliance management of standards and be interested in your views on Continuous Improvement.
You will have a coaching style and will enable our teams to implement Health & Safety requirements across the sites, working with our teams to embed a business partnering approach and upskill our teams by driving cultural change.
It’s vitally important that you engage with our teams to understand the importance of Health, Safety and Environmental obligations and that you become the industry expert on site.
Supported by the HSE Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for advice and guidance so building relationships will be key to your success.
The role also covers an element of environmental responsibility and an understanding of what working within a food manufacturing environment is all about.
If you have an understanding of The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR), HACCP, Puwer & IEMA it would be advantageous but is not essential.
As a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor you’ll be working as part of our wider Health, Safety & Environmental team and involved with our National standards and projects, as a family we have one team and one way of working.
There will be the occasional need to travel to other sites and depots as part of the job therefore you must have a valid UK driving licence.
