The Role

The successful Health and Safety Manager will oversee a regional health and safety team. Incorporated within this, the Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and amending company policies and guidelines to make sure they adhere to industry requirements as well as relevant legislation.

Duties in this role will include, but aren't limited to :

  • Developing and delivering workshops to help educate staff
  • Providing advice and support on health and safety matters
  • Promote the development of team members
  • Ensure the consultancy's compliance with any future legislation
  • Undertaking site inspections
  • Monitoring effectiveness of Health and Safety policies
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance against legislation and company standards
  • Gather and collate information on monthly statistics and KPI's
  • Hold regular team meetings
  • Providing staff inductions
  • Investigating accidents and identifying cause
  • The Successful Health and Safety Manager

    The successful Health and Safety Manager must :

  • Have 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Have NEBOSH Construction certificate
  • Have experience in managing a team
  • Be a confident, strong communicator
  • Be IMAPS / Tech IOSH (minimum)
  • Be a hardworking, confident and resourceful team player
