Job Introduction

This role sits within the pivotal Product & Client Cohesion function in the business as the client’s champion. The role supports the Head of the function in working with stakeholders around the organisation, to ensure the firm’s product set remains relevant and fresh and delivers to expectations that the firm has set, as well as being commercially fulfilling for us to offer together with identifying potential for improvement and extension..

The role will work with Investment, Distribution and ancillary functional teams, driving efforts to ensure the quality of end outcome to clients is as we have promised, as well as to identify products which could be improved, and those whose target market could be expanded to serve a wider set of market segments.

This work would be reflected through the annual Value Assessment process but also in wider forms for consideration on an ongoing basis.

Role Responsibility

The role will incorporate responsibility for assessing the ongoing relevance of component parts of the existing fund range to Jupiter’s diverse clients across the globe, looking at delivery throughout the product lifecycle.

A genuinely commercially focussed role, leading an activity intended to drive change and growth at the firm by testing that clients get what they expect.

Duties will include, but are not limited to :

  • Supporting development of the product Value Assessment process and carrying out regular lifecycle reviews to test products’ delivery to investors’ expectations
  • Identify products which could see extension and / or more effective proposition to different target client groups
  • Coordinate proposals for securing accelerator capital for existing funds, while supporting the sourcing of seed capital for new fund launches
  • Monitoring product commercials to ensure that products are delivering to fund launch targets and ongoing strategic objectives
  • In conjunction with Investment teams and Sales, support identification and resolving of capacity constraints driven by sales flows into funds as they arise
  • Help to ensure appropriate messaging and positioning of products is carried through into marketing collateral, investment communications and scheme documentation.

  • Working with the Product Development team to refine and test ideas that come out of the Value Assessment process as they arise.
  • The Ideal Candidate

  • You will have proven experience of working in a Product or client-responsible function of an asset manager and / or a client / investment focussed department of a fund selector
  • Good knowledge of the asset management industry, its commercial drivers, the clients it serves, distributors it partners, investment techniques and pooled product structures, in particular UCITS structures domiciled in Luxembourg and the UK
  • Established technical skills, knowledge or experience across an asset management business, including portfolio management, marketing and sales, operations, legal, compliance and risk
  • The ability to bring the client perspective to your research, findings and interactions with colleagues
  • Ability to source data from other functions, as well as create your own; then to analyse that data and bring real-world conclusions about delivery to promises, client and shareholder expectations
  • Ability to identify issues as they arise in the product range, together with the confidence to raise them as well as to suggest solutions they you may have identified
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Financial market certifications (e.g. IMC or CFA) desired but not essential
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Morningstar and high-end Excel / Office skills essential; eVestment, Bloomberg, Broadridge and Tableau helpful
