This is a residential position, andyou will be given
for the duration of your contract. Please beaware that should you be successful with your application all staff will be requiredto complete a DBS background check prior employment.
Main purpose of role :
1. AngloLeaders are responsible for planning and running a fun, engaging leisureprogramme for teenagers. This will include leading a variety of sports andcreative activities, acting as a guide on half and full-day trips to places ofinterest and running evening events such as talent shows, themed discos, quiznights.
2. Youwill also be working with the Anglo + Workshop coordinator to deliver workshopsessions, which have been deigned to give students the chance to learn aboutlocal history, British culture, music, drama and photography whilst using theirlanguage skills.
3. ALsneed to be ready to chat with students, encourage them to use English and makesure they fully enjoy their time in the UK.
Anglo Leaders arerequired to :
Report to and liaise with the Activity Managerand Anglo + Co-Ordinator.
Set-up, supervise and encourage students toparticipate in all aspects of the programme.
Encourage students to speak English at all times.
Show sensitivity to the group and individualsand create a positive learning environment.
Be committed to Anglo’s duty of care and thesafeguarding of students always, also being enthusiastic and committed to theirwelfare and security along with the group leaders.
Prepare for and lead students on full-day andhalf-day excursions, having notes and information relevant for visits.
Attend Anglo + workshop meetings and be involvedin all aspects of the Anglo + programme, ensuring sessions run smoothly, safelyand efficiently.
Read and respond to risk assessments for allactivities on and off campus and check all equipment advising on its safeusage.
Assist with arrivals and departures.
Help with supervising students during meals andwhen in the halls of residence.
Assist in the event of an emergency.
Report student absences or sickness at thebeginning of each session.
Quickly respond to any feedback that arisesbecause of a drop in / full length observation.
Notify the management team of any persistentmisbehaviour, sickness or absences.
Work 6 days a week including weekends, with oneday off during the week.

Over 18 years of age
Native level English speaker
Based in and eligible to live and work in the UK
Able to attend both a skype interview and ourresidential training weekend
Confident, Professional, enthusiastic and ableto lead 10 - 17-year olds
Approachable, friendly and able to build rapportwith young people
Possess strong communication and organisationalskills
Able to use own initiative and work as part of ateam
Flexible, creative and adaptable
First aid qualification
Computer and IT literate
Experience of working with children / teenagers
Route planning experience
Enthusiasm for sightseeing
