To ensure we have the right level of leadership to manage relations with European Union universities in the context of Brexit and our participation in YUFE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe), we are seeking to appoint a Deputy Dean of Partnerships (Europe).
The role-holder will play a crucial role in delivering the University's strategic objectives for education and research through the development and oversight of collaborative partnerships in Europe.
The University has excellent links with EU-27 universities in relation to student and staff exchanges, and research partnership, and we are active members of the 18 member Young European Research Universities Network (YERUN).
In addition, we are part of the successful YUFE consortium bid under the European Universities Network initiative, working in partnership with 7 other European universities.
Applicants must have the academic standing within the University to gain and retain academic credibility within the University's academic community.
They must also have experience of leading and managing effectively one or more programmes within their department, or of other significant management responsibilities for taught educational provision at departmental or Faculty level.
Appointment to this role will be for a fixed-term of 3 years, with the possibility of renewal for a further 3 year period, and will include a GBP 6,000 leadership allowance each year in addition to your annual salary.
