The Role PRU Teaching Assistant
For this PRU Teaching Assistant role you will be required to work with small groups of 8 KS4 students aged between 14-16 years, who have been removed from a mainstream school due to their behaviour.
You will be assisting these students with their Maths, English, Science and Vocational Subjects as some of these students will be working towards their GCSEs.
The ideal PRU Teaching Assistant for this role will need to be very adaptive, creative, enthusiastic and be able to build a strong rapport with the students.
The School Pupil Referral Unit
Found in the London borough of Croydon, this Pupil Referral Unit caters for students aged between 11-19 years who have all been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream education.
The schools main aim is to improve their students behaviour, attitude and attendance with a long term aim to enrole all of their students back into a mainstream school.
In their last Ofsted in 2017, they were reviewed as good’ in all areas.
