This is a very exciting time to join our company, we’re in a process of change and we need an experienced IT System Manager / Engineer to come and help us to build our systems with the aim to help us to scale our business.

You will report to the People Operations Manager but will partner with all departments to ensure our It systems (soft and hard) are fit for purpose and scale.

Responsibilities

The IT Systems Manager / Engineer will install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications as well as monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.

  • Provide a combination of remote and site-based IT helpdesk to our staff in UK, USA and those working remotely.
  • Deliver IT systems solutions that provide competitive advantage to support the growth of the business
  • Ensuring our systems comply with the relevant legislation GDPR etc
  • Map our current IT systems in terms of : Licences, Software and hardware and costs.
  • Deliver system installations, licence renewals, upgrades and updates for employees
  • Liaise with third party companies and vendors to resolve complex issues that require escalation
  • Conduct market research to outline new system solutions that will improve current and future business capability
  • Provide support, advice and training to system users
  • Document systems and workflows in a user-friendly way.
  • Partner with all departments within the business ensuring our IT systems fit their needs.
  • Create company best practices for IT systems in terms of Onboarding and offboarding employees, IT security, disaster recovery, email and anti-virus policies
  • Ensuring our staff have the right level of access.
  • Help in the definition and review of SLA.
  • Develop and maintain new corporate Intranet site in conjunction with 3rd party vendors
  • Our business is in the Cloud so we expect you to have a good knowledge of VPN access and Cloud systems.
  • Monitoring, configuration, and maintenance of the backup
  • Network management / monitoring and adjustment
  • Ordering hardware and managing employees’ accounts, mailing groups, and company communications
  • Requirements :

  • Previous experience as an IT administrator / support role;
  • Expert knowledge of Windows servers and their roles (Active Directory, ADDS, file server, application server, Okta, WSUS)
  • Expert knowledge of client computers both Linux, Mac and PC.
  • Good knowledge of Office 365, Gsuite, Lastpass, and Slack
  • Basic Knowledge of CISCO and Ubiquiti network hardware
  • Administration of the latest Windows Server environments
  • Administration of Linux Servers
  • Administration of VMware, Azure Stack, OpenStack or other virtualisation Stack
  • Knowledge of the Internet, its structure and basic networking, which includes experience with TCP / IP networking protocol and applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot simple technical issues quickly and effectively with minimum supervision
  • Basic scripting ability with Powershell & Shell / BASH is desirable

  • Strong desire to learn new technologies with a focus on developing skills and training
