Purpose of the role :
The Senior Global Business Integrity Manager’s remit is to monitor and continuously improve the group’s global, end-to-end business integrity agenda as it relates to compliant and ethical behaviour, so that it remains consistent with external expectations, is fit for purpose and in service of the markets and brings to life our commitment to doing business in the right way, from grain to glass.
The Senior Global Business Integrity Manager will oversee our allegation reporting and breach management process, ensuring we deal effectively and consistently with concerns or allegations of potential breaches of the Code or our policies.
Where breaches occur, they will oversee and where required, coordinate global responses; this includes ensuring that our Speak up process operates efficiently for our employees and 3rd parties;
The Senior Global Business Integrity Manager will be the key business partner for Global functions LT’s (excl. Global Supply), to ensure our people, processes and governance are in line with regulatory expectations.
Top 3-5 Accountabilities
Oversee overall business integrity agenda within the network of in-market business integrity resources and support them in the planning and delivery of a fit for purpose compliance and ethics programme.
Work in partnership with the controls assurance management and controls leads to identify opportunities for integration, share experiences and work on key issues.
Monitor and report achievements of the overall business integrity program, maximizing analytics and automation tools to proactively identify red flag indicators related to Code breaches and other busines integrity culture markers.
Maintain and enforce the group’s approach to whistleblower and breach management and quality data capture. Identify critical issues, root causes and any trends / themes related to compliance across the busines.
Stay abreast of external developments in the fields of compliance and integrity (including any regulatory developments or changes which could impact Diageo) as well as best practices developed and issues faced by other peer companies.
Build business partnering relationships across the business and in particular, within global function ambassador network to ensure adequate resourcing and capability to deliver the Business integrity agenda is in place
Qualifications and Experience Required
Minimum 10 years experience in the global compliance function of a large international company, or in providing consulting services in the areas of governance, risk, compliance and ethics
Qualified solicitor / lawyer or accountant or other professional qualification with experience of the above.
Experience of developing, implementing and maintaining all aspects of a best practice business integrity (compliance and ethics) programme as well as embedding behavioural and cultural change.
Significant experience of leading or overseeing sensitive or complex investigations
Strong communications skills with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
