About the role

What you need to know :

As a Regional Account Manager you will be responsible for developing business to business relationships with a panel of 30+ employee benefit consultancies and financial advisers in London & the South East.

This is a home based role with frequent travel expected (post-Covid restrictions) in London & the South East (Your Region).

You will also be expected to travel to the AIG Life London office for team meetings and training.

What we’re looking for :

  • Someone to manage a panel of regional accounts on a day to day basis.
  • Empowered to implement a regional account strategy, think of your panel as a regional franchise’.
  • Oversee and drive proactive account activity in accordance with the regional account strategy. This includes developing direct relationships with all accounts on panel.
  • Act as an escalation point for all account activity such as administration, underwriting and claims work with these business units to find customer solutions.
  • You will be the day to day contact point for all sales (quote) enquiries, and will proactively lead on all large scheme retentions too.
  • This includes follow-up activity to gather intel & negotiate pricing.

  • You will have specific sales and retention targets in line with the scale of the opportunities within your panel.
  • While some accounts are long established, others are at an early stage of development. Someone equally enthusiastic about developing less-established relationships as well as protecting high performing relationships is highly desirable.
  • Initiate a combination of face to face & online meetings, training sessions (on our products and systems) and presentations on a regular basis in order to develop relationships with your accounts
  • Collaborate with the Head of Regional Accounts to devise new tactics in order to further develop relationships.
