This is a Contract role.
Reporting to the Engagement Partner, the principal responsibility of the Assistant Manager is to provide a range of services to a portfolio of clients for the duration of the temporary contract.
Salary and working hours.
Salary is commensurate with experience. The hours are full-time, 9 : 00am to 5 : 15pm Monday to Friday.
ï Responsible for the day to day administration of a client portfolio;
ï Liaise with clients over the phone, on Skype and face to face;
ï Correspond and discuss client matters with the Income Tax Division and HMRC;
ï Advise and assist clients where necessary;
ï Liaise with auditors where applicable;
ï Agree and set internal service level agreements and ensure professional management standards are adhered to at all times;
ï Reviewing work prepared by team members in accounting and audit and assurance;
ï Have a good understanding of UK GAAP, and IFRS accounting frameworks;
ï Be able to adapt and use different accounting software;
ï Manage deadlines and client expectations;
ï Maintain a limited portfolio of audit clients;
ï Be aware of developments within the offshore industry; and
ï Understand the firm’s policies and procedures and adhere to them in daily working practice;
ï Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar environment;
ï Be ACA or ACCA qualified;
ï Have a working knowledge of Isle of Man taxation, UK taxation and HMRC procedures;
ï Relationship management and communication skills;
ï Excellent interpersonal skills
ï Project management;
ï Presentation skills;
ï Problem solving, and decision making; and
ï PC literate, particularly with Excel and Word.
