Peter Vardy Ltd is a dynamic,fast paced business who are always one step ahead in the motor retailingindustry.
Due tobusiness demand we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced volume car Buyerto join our busy and growing Buying Team.
This role can be based at our Vardy Central in Motherwell or from our CarStore in Hillington but you must be willing to travel.
Duties ofa Buyer :
Buy used cars for the group in-line with the Sales and Stock forms
Have a full understanding of all sources for the purchase of used carsfor the group
Manage and measure profit margin of purchases to ensure they are withinthe company’s KPi’s
Work with the Sales Managers at each site to ensure delivery of idealstock requirements
Oversee all aspects of each purchase from beginning to end
Develop trade contacts to ensure cars are bought at the most competitiverates
Carries out a daily review of any potential use car wholesaleopportunities
Assist on site if and when required
Source cars for sold orders
Be available to underwrite for the sites
Be up to date with all online purchasing schemes
Contact local and national trade seller
ReviewAuto trader / Ebay / Gumtree / Facebook for private sellers
E-Maildata base for targeted stock
Prospectdealer groups by email and by phone
Beavailable to underwrite for the sites
Messageout on Facebook for stock required
Establishmaturing PCP agreements for targeted stock
TheSuccessful Candidate :
Able to demonstrate a proven track record within a similar role
Ability to build and develop lasting relationships at all levels
Strong negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
You must be a 'people person'
Motivated to succeed and ability to work to targets
