Are you a qualified PE teacher looking to work in the Sunderland area starting in the next academic year?

Applications are sought from a specialist in delivering PE lessons to secondary school students. Applications are welcomed by candidates of any gender starting from September 2022.

The secondary school is located in South Shields and can also be easily accessed by several different public transport links.

The secondary school is considered by Ofsted as a good’ school and has recently seen improvements in a number of areas. The school has additionally recently improved and modernised a significant amount of their sports equipment.

  • Full-time PE teacher
  • Required from September 2022 until December 2022
  • Paid in line with teaching scale - £25,714 - £41,604.
  • Teaching pupils aged 11-16
  • Ability to deliver PE lessons up to the age of KS4
  • The school wish to appoint a well-qualified, hardworking, dynamic, and inspirational teacher of PE. The successful candidate will consistently plan and deliver innovative lessons that inspire and engage students from a number of different backgrounds and ability levels.

    They will also ensure their students are making excellent progress.

    To be considered for this position, the incoming teacher must have :

  • UK Recognised QTS
  • Experience teaching PE up to GCSE level
  • Child workforce only DBS (we can help you apply)
  • Appropriate references
  • Both experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers are urged to apply for this position as all relevant induction and support will be provided by a dedicated consultant.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
