About the role

We are on quite an ambitious journey to modernise our Data domain, using new cutting edge technology. This Data domain feeds our Data Science, Analytics, Strategy and Engineering teams.

This role will sit within the Data Acquisition team and involves replicating data from our source systems to our Data Lake.

More specifically, you'll be installing, configuring and maintaining our change data capture solution.

SLAs, cost efficiency, business and analytical needs are all things that you'll be bearing in mind and working towards and you'll be automating ingestion feeds and providing appropriate alerting & monitoring.

Skills

We focus on attracting good all round people to the business, as opposed to basing it purely on a technical skill set. Our cultural side of things is just as important as the technical side.

Obviously you'd need certain experience to be able to carry out the role efficiently, so I have listed a few below :

Experience with Change Data Capture tools such as HVR & Goldengate

Experience with one or more programming language such as Java, Python, SQL or Scala

Cloud technology experience (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)

Hadoop, RDS, S3 Auto-Scaling or Lambda experience is nice to have
