HuntingdonPermanent£31,995 - £36,525 a yearAs a result of the retirement of a member of staff a vacancy has arisen for a full time permanent position for the role of ICT Change and Asset Team Leader.
The position will be based at Cambridgeshire Constabulary Headquarters, but travel will be necessary across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire to attend meetings and work with staff in different locationsReporting to the ICT Services Manager, you will play a vital role in the ICT Services Team supporting the management of the ICT Change process, ICT asset data quality and software licensing.
Working together across ICT teams you be responsible for implementing and maintaining policies and processes for pivotal areas of ICT : Supporting the Change Manager in the assessment and management of all technical change ensuring there is no adverse impact to the business on services provided by ICT.
Supporting the Services Manager in defining, implementing and managing policies and procedures for all ICT assets ensuring data is correct and audited on a regular basisEnsuring licensed software is well managed and processes are in place and maintained to ensure compliance across the organisation and best use of existing licences.
You will provide line management to a team of ICT professionals including recruitment, professional development, coaching and mentoring, health and safety, welfare and discipline to achieve maximum potential from staff.
A successful candidate must have the following skills and experience : Educated to HND or NVQ Level 4 / 5 in appropriate subject or at least 3 years equivalent proven industry experience.
ITIL Service Management FoundationFormal software licensing accreditation such as Fast Practitioner is desirable.Experience of interpreting complex software licensing terms and conditions.
Proven expertise in use of complex Configuration Management System (CMS)Recent experience of a Change role, or having worked in an ICT environment with rigorous change process for at least two years.
Experience of managing teams across different disciplinesHighly motivated, innovative and flexible within excellent time management skills.
Demonstrable negotiation skills.Good people management skills and the ability to communicate with non-technical staff at all levels.
