The Director of Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Product Management reports directly to Global Head of Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Product Management, within the information services division at LSEG.

This is an important role with responsibilities for growing the client base of FTSE Russell’s fixed income and multi assets benchmark products.

Working closely with sales, marketing, technology, governance & risk, product management colleagues, corporate development, global research and client services, the Director of Fixed Income Product Management will help design and contribute to client engagement programmes and work with individual and groups of clients to support their take-up and ongoing use of our benchmarking, data and analytics products and services.

A key accountability is to ensure sales and marketing research has a fully coordinated approach to product strategy, development, client input, and engagement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Establishing client priorities, messaging and competitive positioning for FTSE’s growing fixed income and multi-asset index solutions business;
  • Undertake client meetings with strategic clients to support product uptake and the development of client segment and individual client strategies;
  • Work closely with the sales, marketing, research teams and product management colleagues to support launch fixed income benchmark products and services;
  • Work closely with the EMEA sales and research teams to identify new business and product development opportunities;
  • Make recommendations to improve the competitive positioning, of our fixed income and multi-asset product offering across benchmarks, analytics and data solutions
  • Coordinate with the Research team on the production and client communication to support product plans and client adoption
  • Liaise and support marketing, research and sales on product launches, developing client messages, the supporting product collateral, product positioning and competitor strategy
  • Undertake a program of webinars / digital marketing activities, to support the achievement of the above
  • Be deeply involved and contribute to the benchmark index product development process; formulating design based on client / market intelligence and thought leadership, rigorously back-testing prototypes, ensuring a high level of operational risk of operational robustness and developing supporting collateral and client engagement programmes with relevant internal teams
  • Key Aspects of the Position Include :

  • Driving the fixed income and multi-asset client engagement programme in EMEA driving activity, delivering results, managing change;
  • Liaise with global group support teams (Finance, Legal, et cetera) as appropriate;
  • Support of strong linkage between the Research, Sales and Marketing teams and Product Management colleagues;
  • Increased use of research across the client range;
  • Strategy development for client segments and individual clients;
  • Increasing client engagement and input in product development process;
  • Ensuring a continuous pipeline of high quality fixed income and multi-asset product development.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of technical capabilities and constraints of LSEGs multiple index platforms

  • Candidate Profile / Key Skills

  • Client engagement experience in the area of financial data, financial benchmarks, investment markets or closely related areas
  • Strong technical knowledge of fixed income indices and analytics, and a good understanding of the utility to end users
  • Proven track record of developing fixed income benchmark products, across the full spectrum of product development from, idea conception to, benchmark creation and formulating a market strategy to support the new product
  • Understanding of the investment process and experience in dealing with asset owners, investment consultants, and asset managers
  • Proven ability to work with global clients and influencers
  • Capability to contribute to strategy development and decision making
  • Strong and deep knowledge of the financial markets across both buy and sell side areas
  • Self-motivated and team orientated
