About the Business Area / Department

The finance team are based in Reading. It supports the business in a number of ways. It raise sales invoices to clients, pays supplier bills and employee expenses and produces timely, accurate and relevant financial information that meets the needs of the business and fulfils statutory reporting requirements.

The role will report through to Finance but its primary role will be to support the business in the billing process and with the provision of management information.

This will including providing reports and analysis from the timesheet and billing systems. It will also involve aspects of database administration of the timesheet system.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

You will be working primarily in OpenAir, our timesheet and billing system, you will be responsible for the following :

To produce Management Information

To be responsible for producing reports and manipulating data in Excel

To identify data trends and opportunities that can be fed back into the business

To liaise with the business on process improvements

General System administration - including setting up new clients, projects and users

Job Requirements

Excellent analytical skills

Attention to detail

A high level of accuracy

A high level of numeric and communication skills.

Strong MS Excel skills and good all-round IT abilities (including intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills e.g. formulae, VLOOKUP)

Strong organisational skills

Experience communicating effectively with stakeholders

Strong team player with a solution focused attitude

Ability to show initiative and provide suggestions / solutions

Drive, energy and commitment to completing tasks

Enjoys working in a fast paced and changing environment
