Position Description :

Purpose of role : As part of a large business integration programme, the Vendor Management team is responsible for overseeing up to 800 vendors.

This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders across 2 business entities, subject matter experts, legal teams and supplier representatives.

This is a new global role to ensure Insight’s compliance with Third Party Governance (TPG) requirements and regulations.

During this role, you will demonstrate your excellent knowledge around buying and contracting across both existing and new suppliers.

Further to this, you will have previously worked in a control environment, where you understand all the key regulations around both internally and with key suppliers.

Note : as Insight is a regulated firm, this role will involve a degree of administrative activities to ensure Insight can evidence compliance with its policies and processes.

Role accountabilities :

  • Conduct all business transactions in accordance with BNY Mellon / Insight TPG policies, procedures & guidelines, legal requirements, regulations and ethical standards.
  • Manage sourcing events such as RFx, eAuctions.
  • Prepare matrixes for offer comparison and presents the best solution to the stakeholder.
  • Manage key supplier relationships, prepare and establish NDA, MSA, SOW, pricelists, catalogues data, terminations and other contracts in line with strategies.
  • Monitor due diligence assessments to ensure contracts are not signed without appropriate due diligence taking place.
  • Negotiate and manage administration for a large quantity of complex and non-complex contracts in multiple categories, including NDAs, complex agreements, SOWs and terminations, among others.
  • Independently review and analyze contract asks, effectively communicate requirements, and determine solutions and actions in response to contract asks.
  • Identify contracting issues and implement solutions.
  • Support the development of demand-side process improvements due to contract implementation.

  • Review findings complied for accuracy and legibility and advise on improvements
  • Serve as the direct point of contact for negotiations with contracting parties.
  • Conduct complex research to support contract negotiations and comply findings into an appropriate, intuitive format.
  • Assess and prioritize work requirements, develops and executes plans in a timely manner and accepts advice and / or direction well.
  • Prepare category plans
  • Contributes to the achievement of business area objectives.
  • Monitor, analyze and take actions on agreed KPIs in the sourcing categories
  • Work on standardization and implement solutions.
  • Prepare policies, procedures and standards based on global compliance and risk management requirements.
  • Support the development of demand-side process improvements.
  • Work with data to agree on sourcing strategies, cost modelling and cost breakdowns.
  • Represent VM in stakeholder and business partner meetings focused on the assigned categories.
  • Build a wealth of category knowledge across multiple categories.
  • Knowledge, skills and behaviours required :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • CIPS qualification preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and spend categories preferred.
  • Understanding of procurement and sourcing processes and practices in financial sector required.
  • Have excellent contract and commercial negotiation skills in the context of the financial services industry and or regulated services environment, and strong networking and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mind-set leave no stone unturned
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (including PowerPoint)
  • Confident team player who takes ownership and leads by example
  • Knowledge of the procurement of Technology and / or Market Data services
