Reporting to the Group Security Controller (GSC), the Security Vetting Manager is responsible for :
Filling the role of the vetting Clearance Contact’, in accordance with the SPF List X requirements, and act as the prime liaison with United Kingdom Security Vetting and other HMG vetting authorities.
Maintains the DXC Vetting Policy, associated processes and forms, and internal Vetting Office work instructions.
Communicates changes to processes to all personnel.
Acts as the functional manager for around a dozen Vetting Administrators located at Aldershot and Erskine.
Recommends to the GSC on the placement of vetting and associated workload between Vetting Offices.
Operates a system for the gaining of security clearance of all employees and contractors with the appropriate vetting authority, and acts as an escalation point for the business and for Vetting Offices.
Operates a system which ensures the timely renewal of clearances.
Responsible for the accuracy, integrity and secure, timely disposal or transfer of all physical and electronic vetting records.
Controls and co-ordinates the submission of Aftercare Incident Reports and associated record keeping.
Together with the STRAP Security Officer, administers the system of Sensitive Post Checks.
Owns Vetting electronic records (PRISM)
Provides various metrics to the GSC showing the performance of the Vetting Offices.
Deputises for the Group Security Controller on all vetting issues as required
Provide training guidance and support for managers & recruiters involved in Vetting.
Prior knowledge and experience of government security vetting including BPSS and national security vetting
Able to work independently and manage a small team, prioritise own work and that of others
Able to achieve and hold a national security clearance themselves
Good communication skills
