Job description

Reporting to the head chef, you will prepare and cook lunch provision for Somer Dining, BBlock and care home at The Chocolate Quarter.

This will need to meet the modern and contemporary design of both the environment and the service.

Working in a large purpose designed kitchen you'll be preparing and cooking food for The Chocolate Quarter's multiple outlets that include the care home, café, restaurant and private dining service, which will also include preparing and overseeing special dietary requirements.

You will maintain strict adherence to all legal frameworks regarding Health and Safety and Food Handling and Hygiene and contribute to the overall objectives set by the head chef.

Weekend enhancement, over time available, pension scheme available. Mostly days shifts, with some possible evening shifts.

Every other weekend off!

What we're looking for

From a hospitality or restaurant background you will live and breathe food with an enthusiasm and passion for food. You'll be a strong communicator, keen team player and have experience to ensure a modern and innovative service.

You will have a sound knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety legislation. Above all else you will need to demonstrate the flexibility and 'can do' approach that is required when opening a new business.
