An exciting new role supporting the site team to ensure everyday tasks are managed effectively through compliance and procedures put in place.
The position will be based on site. The purpose of this role is to work closely alongside the site management team and liaise closely with the Buying Department in respect of the ordering of all site materials to meet with the requirements of the build programme and within suppliers lead times.
In addition ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored in accordance with Persimmon requirements. Provide systems for stock control and take responsibility to reduce the amount of lost and damaged materials.
Report damaged and lost materials accurately through careful management of the stores. Creating and maintaining filing systems, organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer based information, with an objective of a paper reduced system
Qualifications / Experience
Previous experience would be preferred. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and willing to learn with a genuine interest and commitment to this existing dynamic industry.
Ideally have worked in the construction industry and have an understanding of house building with a knowledge of general construction materials.
Strong organisational skills are essential in this role especially when taking ownership of the flow of materials processing.
