Our national Corporate & Commercial team is led by 14 Partners and has a presence in our Southampton, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester and Taunton offices.

In Bristol, you will be supporting three Partners, working on high quality, corporate work.

Based in our Bristol office, you will be working with colleagues locally and nationally for a wide range of clients including many private companies and their owners in relation to M&A, equity funding and general corporate structuring work.

You will also have the opportunity to be involved in larger deals acting for large national or international businesses.

As a national corporate practice there is a good level of interaction and team working between our offices providing additional opportunities to develop your skills and experience.

Working closely with our partners in the Bristol corporate team you will handle straightforward or smaller transactions without needing significant supervision.

You will also be encouraged to take an active involvement in business development activities, building client relationships and helping to grow our already well regarded practice.

This role will allow you to work flexibly, splitting your week between your home working environment and our Bristol office.

It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.

About you

We are looking for someone who can make an immediate impact, and the role would be well suited to a two to four year qualified ambitious lawyer who is looking to progress their career within corporate law.

You’ll need a strong intellect to succeed in this role, so we will be looking for a corresponding level of consistent academic achievement.

You’ll also need to show us that you have initiative, drive and great organisational skills. The work requires self-motivation, resilience and strong communication skills, both written and oral.

You will relish helping others and be eager to learn. We expect you to be someone who takes pride in your work and who will provide a first-class service to our clients, anticipating their needs in advance wherever possible, and paying meticulous attention to detail in all of your work.

Beyond your technical skills, you will have developed strong client management skills and have a strong interest in business development.

Essentially, you will also be a genuine team player, looking to support others and share ideas and opportunities for the benefit of the team as a whole, enjoying and benefitting from the resulting success along with your colleagues.

If you are ambitions, this role has good prospects for career advancement.

Finally, legal practice is about people and this is very much a team orientated role.
