GIPSIL is a community based organisation providing housing, counselling, advice and support to young and vulnerable people at risk in Leeds.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to join the team and contribute to the innovative and successful work being achieved by the Engage Leeds Advice and Employment & Engagement team across the city and to provide consultancy in this area to housing support colleagues.
The main responsibilities of the post include : -
Providing advice, casework and consultancy support in respect of welfare rights and housing issues to those accessing ENGAGE Leeds services and to colleagues involved in ENGAGE Leeds service provision.
To take a leadership role within GIPSIL Advice Service including undertaking line management responsibility for other Advice and Employment / Engagement Workers and deputising for the Advice and Engagement Services’ Manager as required.
To actively participate in operational management to ensure that the service offered reflects both best and progressive practice, ensuring sensitivity to service user needs.
