Job Summary

The Regional Technical Sales Manager (RTSM) will drive sales growth in our products. Focus will be on a variety of Energy markets, such as Power Generation, Chemical, Petrochemical and Oil & Gas.

Essential Functions

Qualified candidates must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment for a global company with a rich tradition and reputation for outstanding quality and service.

They must also possess the following attributes :

  • Ability to identify emerging trends and new technologies within the various markets served by our products.
  • Great communicator and networker who enjoys challenge of driving specifications at engineering firms and key end-user accounts.
  • Experienced in managing projects and coordinating and communicating within the territories involved in the project.
  • Thrives in competitive environment and is motivated and energized by challenge of securing large orders up to and exceeding $1M.
  • Possess a detailed knowledge of competitive products, including price structure, professional services capability, and market focus.
  • Welcomes and enjoys travel (approximately 50%) within their region, although will be office based for around 2 days per week in our Croydon office.
  • Duties will include :

  • Administering client account and calculating client quotations
  • Analysing costs and sales
  • Co-ordinating sales projects
  • Establishing new and maintaining existing client relationships
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team
  • Distribution network growth
  • Sales Growth for the UK
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
  • Commercial bids for UK projects
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements
  • Meeting regular sales targets
  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
  • Offering after-sales and technical support
  • Preparing quotations
  • Solving client problems
  • Reseller / Distributor support
  • Customer Visits for UK
  • Customer site technical visits for UK
  • Monthly updates for management for Projects / Quotations / Issues & Strategy
  • Dealing with customer complaints
  • Implementation and execution of yearly strategy
  • Assisting standard products team with technical queries
