Overall Job Purpose

To work as a key member of the marketing team; to support the Marketing Managers and implement all aspects of marketing campaigns for River Street Events Portfolio of events including : BBC Good Food Shows, BBC Gardener’s World Live and Historical Royal Palace Food Festivals across traditional and digital channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implement marketing campaign activity across all shows

2. Manage all traditional marketing communications, box office, partner activity, affiliates and group / schools marketing activity 3.

Support on digital marketing channels as and when required 4. Support on copywriting as and when required

Here are the highlights from the BBC Good Food Show :

PRINT / TRADITIONAL

  • Support Marketing Managers on the fulfilment and co-ordination of BBC Good Food Shows & BBC Gardener’s World Live DM pieces (postcard, leaflet & VIP), fulfil within given timelines
  • Manage and co-ordinate the main artwork schedule, keep up to date and communicate with the team to ensure all artwork is completed within given deadlines
  • Support Marketing Managers on the fulfilment and co-ordination of magazine advertorials, onserts and carrier sheets, execute sign off with all relevant parties
  • Proof copy, artwork and imagery to ensure all content accurate and up to date before circulating for sign off
  • Fulfilment of all non-editorial artwork pieces e.g. ads, leaflets, posters, data capture, online assets ticket inserts and any adhoc small pieces when required
  • Support on copywriting as and when required
  • Provide creative assets required for digital and traditional media
  • BOX OFFICE

  • Main point of contact with call centre and box office for all shows
  • Co-ordinate all Box Office deliverables, including all on site briefs, on sale briefs add ons and manage timelines for all ticketing fulfilment supported and overseen by Marketing Manager
  • Testing all booking pages and any other duties required
  • Ensure copies of all promotional materials are sent to call centre and advise when new promotions go live
  • Oversee the setup of ticket matrixes and setting, testing of promotional codes ensuring all up to date on regular basis, with a good understanding and knowledge of overall campaign discount coded

  • Weekly updates on theatre reports and monitor sales
  • AFFILIATES

  • Main contact for affiliate marketing channels
  • Brief set up and manage all affiliate marketing activity providing weekly reports
  • Secure and review marketing activity with affiliate channels
  • VENUE / BOX OFFICE / PARTNER MARKETING

  • Secure key venue and box office partnerships across all shows
  • Fulfilment of marketing collateral for key partnerships & partners within the agreed marketing timeline Manage the partners / sponsors marketing activity schedule of all shows to ensure that all marketing activity has been fulfilled within timelines supported by Marketing Assistant
  • Oversee marketing of local business to promote staff / intranet offers
  • Manage show competition fulfilment, collateral and delivery inc web pages
  • SPECIFIC CAMPAIGN PROJECTS

    To manage the groups & schools marketing campaign across all NEC Shows comprising of :

  • Two mailings per year (May Winter Show and December Summer Show)
  • Ensure follow up emails to potential group bookers are scheduled and delivered
  • Liaison with media and fulfilment of groups advertising campaign
  • Advert design, to be approved by all relevant parties on time and to budget
  • Secure PR in group trade publications
  • Manage the schedule and implementation of the schools campaign including schools mailing and comprising schools packs
  • EMAIL

  • Support on email briefs and building email campaigns across all shows
  • Review and report on email campaign effectiveness and monitor unsub rates
  • WEBSITES

    Support on website updates to ensure all content up to date when required

    GENERAL

  • Support Marketing Manager with post show survey implementation and generate top line survey stats
  • Contribute to post show report and weekly reports with summary on key areas of activity worked on and feedback / recommendations
  • Contribute to videography and photography on site briefs in line with marketing / promotional activity required
  • To be actively present on site at the shows as and when required
  • Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

  • Previous marketing experience, events desirable
  • Experience of an email marketing tool such as MailChimp or Dotmailer
  • Competent in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Organised with a high level of attention to detail
  • Confident and creative copywriter
  • Creative with an excellent eye
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to time sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to work with different teams at all levels as well as chefs / talent and sponsors at the show
  • Proactive, inquisitive and tenacious
  • Strong and confident communicator both verbal and written
  • Confident report writer
  • Liaise and build relationships with key suppliers
  • Ability to work independently Highly numerate with strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Uses initiative
