The Role

To contribute to the implementation and delivery of property management and asset management instructions across the NFU Mutual property investment portfolio, making recommendations with the aim of protecting the interests of the Group, and maximising the performance of the Funds.

Job Specification

  • Establish and implement asset management initiatives across the Fund in accordance with overall property investment strategy in order to deliver performance targets.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver business plans for individual direct and indirect investments identifying, appraising and recommending individual asset strategies designed to maximise performance.
  • Research, source, analyse and evaluate acquisition and disposal opportunities and prepare recommendations to management to ensure portfolio performance is regularly reviewed and maximised.
  • Responsibility for property management processes, creating strong and productive landlord and tenant relationships, in line with investment objectives and in accordance with risk management, regulatory and RICS standards.
  • Build, establish manage and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (such as agents, lawyers, valuers) to maximise services, identify opportunities and ensure the effective delivery of objectives.
  • Co-ordinate and control the accurate management and upkeep of property and compliance data within database systems and develop, prepare and produce management information to be used in a variety of Fund reports ensuring that portfolio performance is analysed and reported accurately.
  • Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with line manager.

    Educated to degree standard or equivalent

    MRICS professional qualification

    Experience and Knowledge

  • Track record of Property Management and Asset Management activity
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to take responsibility and manage workload
  • Ability to manage teams of outsourced professional advisors and service providers
  • Highly motivated, committed and a strong team player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
