Reed Belfast are working in partnership with our manufacturing client based in the County Tyrone, who are currently seeking to recruit a HSEQ Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team reporting to the plant manager, and will provide support to operations within the business.

Key responsibilities :

  • Provide advice & support to the Directors and Management Team in all aspects of HSEQ, leading by example and setting the highest standards
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System, ISO9001,14001 & 18001 accreditations in accordance with ISO requirements
  • Identify, maintain and arrange training as required for all employees, sub-contractors ensuring the correct agreements are in place
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of policies, training and systems in the
  • Company’s, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Policies and ensure compliance
  • Conduct HSEQ audits and inspections on site and at trade counters
  • Investigate accidents / incidents, preparing detailed reports with recommendations
  • Prepare and conduct various HSEQ awareness briefings, tool box talks, etc. in line with operational requirements
  • Attend meetings both internal and external to represent HSEQ where required
  • All other duties as assigned by plant manager / director as required
  • Essential Criteria :

  • Ability to influence effectively and present at all business levels
  • Demonstrable track record of success / achievements
  • Evidence of accident prevention programme implementation
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining leading metrics and driving associated culture change
  • Proven ability to design and conduct training for groups of people
  • Proven experience of tactical deployment against company strategy
  • Proven experience of positive engagement in HS&E arena
  • IOSH qualification
  • Experience of working with Duty Holder Register and specifically DSEAR PUWER
  • Computer literate
  • Desirable criteria :

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health
  • NEBOSH Environmental certificate
  • IEMA certification
  • Lead auditor
