Quality Assurance and Change Manager Our client an international non-profit organisation is looking for a full time QA and Change Manager reporting to the Global Head of IT Operations to work in their London office.

The Quality Assurance and Change Manager will ensure change is delivered to our systems seamlessly, efficiently and moves into a sustainable operational structure.

About the role The QA & Change Manager is responsible for assuring the quality and readiness of all change to the technology landscape including the overalls testing and change readiness, service transition and introduction.

This role will set the strategy and frameworks for technology quality assurance and testing which each of the product or project teams will deliver to and ensure that that these standards are met.

Secondly, will ensure that, using appropriate industry frameworks, the change is transitioned into operations minimising operational risk, ensuring our key support artifacts and monitoring systems are updated and operational support teams have the required knowledge to support the change.

Key responsibilities Enable delivery to the production environment of changes and improvements to technology through across multiple agile DevOps and change projects.

Manage key supplier relationships for test and quality tools and systems · Establish and operate an IT change processes aligned to ITIL, demonstrating best practice controls and processes, and ensuring services meet or exceed required standards, including Configuration, Change, Quality, and Security Management · Set the standards and strategies for technology quality assurance and testing across functional, non-functional and usability areas · As a gatekeeper, ensure product and project teams deliver high quality changes through comprehensive testing and quality practices.

  • Set the standards and processes for service transition and introduction · Ensure changes delivered have met the agreed required service transition standards and outcomes.
  • Utilise tools and systems to drive efficiency and automation of quality processes and service transition to reduce failures, reduce time to market, drive efficiency and better customer outcomes Required skills and experience At least 8 years of relevant working experience in IT operations and delivery particularly focused on testing.
  • Managed end to end programme testing across all key areas and ensured that these aligned to provide a quality product · Managed key functional testing phases including systems, integration, product, and user acceptance testing · Managed key non-functional testing phases including volume, performance, disaster recovery security, IT operational and business operational (including continuity) · Ability to lead, develop and manage all aspects of the quality assurance and testing effort, including strategy plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and required personnel · Ability to document and communicate the status of testing progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary · Ability to define, implement, and maintain project process guidance related to testing · Ability to provide technical leadership to project resources and the client to meet testing deadlines and objectives · Knowledge of Test Tools, Test Methodologies, Test Automation and Quality Management · Ability to consult with and develop technical resources and business users for methods, procedures, and standards to use during testing · Ability to define IT Change Management processes and establish an operational framework to deliver these · Ability to define the required standards for quality and change for specific changes based on the level of risk and criticality.
  • Ability to assure that delivery teams have completed the required change management steps. · Able to provide recommendations to senior IT and business stakeholders on the relative risk of changes.
  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards · Good management skills and experienced in working with a team of professionals who are matrix managed and able to delegate responsibilities to build a high performing team · Ability to manage hierarchically and functionally across remote teams across different locations · A good influencer, comfortable in interacting with senior management in complex global matrix organisations · Ability to manage, connect and bring together diverse stakeholder interests (internal and external) · A capable builder of relationships, able to leverage personal networks to gain buy in and acceptance of risk and change · Committed, result driven and self-reflective team player · Good writing, verbal, and presentation skills in English Desired skills and experience (optional) Digital delivery has a track record of working within an Agile organization Affinity with NGO and related processes is an advantage Supplier management experience in an IT environment Exposure in Climate Change data legislation, practices, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in Environmental related industries i.e. Water, Energy, Forestry related.
