Valuation & Advisory Analyst
Job Description Summary
Our leading Valuation and Advisory business is seeking a talented Analyst to join our Retail Valuation team based in the West End.
The team has a very successful track record working with banks, shopping centre owners and well known institutional investors and currently advises on some of the UK’s largest and high profile shopping centres.
Role Profile :
The team is looking to expand and is therefore seeking a talented, self-starting Analyst to join the team to help streamline the valuation process and assist with complex shopping centre investment valuations and development appraisals.
Core Responsibilities :
Assist in building and updating complex investment and residual valuation appraisals, including discounted cash flow models, using Argus and Excel;
Analysing valuation input data provided by clients and their external consultants and ensuring valuation models accurately reflect this information.
In the case of repeating valuations, comparing valuation data using specialist comparison software and identifying changes to be made to the valuation, then updating accordingly;
Assist in valuation reporting and presenting to clients, including attending client meetings;
Be responsible for ensuring valuation consistency within the wider team, including building and maintaining a database containing key valuation information;
Collaborating with other departments within the firm, including the research team to assist with streamlining processes and help deliver a high and insightful service to clients;
Keeping up to date with market developments and changes in valuation practice;
Ensures files are maintained in accordance with Practice Area Guidelines and keeps work progress under review, communicating changes and escalating any need for additional resources;
Ensuring client requirements and Cushman & Wakefield quality procedures are followed.
Knowledge & Experience :
IT literate - intermediate / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other applications within the Microsoft Office Suite is essential;
Practical experience of Argus Val Cap and Developer would be preferable;
Specific knowledge of the real estate industry and property valuation and would be advantageous;
MRICS qualification would be advantageous;
