Job description GCHQ, the longest standing code-breaking intelligence agency in the UK, is offering you an exciting opportunity to join our Legal Team as a Legal Adviser - Commercial.
We are currently recruiting for a number of Legal Advisers to join the GCHQ Legal Team in Intelligence Agencies’ procurement and commercial function.
Providing sound commercial function and sound commercial legal advice on a broad portfolio of commercial matters, including major procurements and projects, commercial policy and standard terms of conditions, major negotiations, dispute resolution and avoidance.
To provide sound commercial legal advice on a broad portfolio of commercial matters, including major procurements and projects, commercial policy and standard terms of conditions, major negotiations, data protection, IP, dispute resolution and avoidance.
The successful candidate will ideally have :
o Procurement law including major programmes
o Commercial and Contractual Law
o Interface between commercial and public law
o Commercial litigation, arbitration and ADR
o Construction, property and planning law, with experience of PFI contracting and NEC3.

The posts are suited to full or part time / job share lawyer(s) working a 37 hour week.

Salary of £66,679 (on a pro rata basis) plus £5,500 London Pay Addition (if applicable) with the potential to earn skills bonuses and additional payments dependant on experience.
