Break into prison healthcare!

HMP Oakwood is a category C prison with capacity for 1605 male adult prisoners over the age of 21 serving a range of sentences including trial, remand, awaiting sentence and convicted men.

About the Job

As a General Practitioner you will be required to provide high quality primary care medical services to prisoners residing in the Prison.

You will have an active involvement in clinical governance / effectiveness activities, and in shaping and embedding clinical processes, pathways and innovations to bring in gold standard delivery to all aspects of our healthcare.

The Job Requirements

If you’re an experienced GP with previous leadership experience but have never worked in a prison environment before, don’t let this hold you back in making an application.

Our service is a clinically lead service, with a strong and supportive team of experienced clinical leaders who will support you in your role, as will our robust induction and training programmes.

Further Job Information

This is a part time position working 2 days per week.

A salary of £96,900 per annum pro rata depending on experience is offered along with a generous benefits package, including reimbursed indemnity fees.
