  • We're seeking an ambitious and experienced digital project director and evangelist to a growing team. A strategic thinker who can drive forward and deliver a group vision with smart thinking and intuitive insight, whilst delivering a range of digital projects alongside the wider team.

    This is a key role for this group of companies operating, working with senior leaders to grow the digital offer and oversee and manage the full digital project lifecycle across our global customer base.

    What you’ll be doing

    This unique opportunity offers a proven digital expert the chance to work alongside the groups leadership team and play a vital role in helping to shape the future direction of the business.

    As a technical evangelist and innovator you’ll utilise your experience and insight to drive forward the strategic vision of the group and maximise the digital experience of customer projects.

    Taking a strategy first approach you’ll identify and develop digital products and services to offer to group wide clients whilst mentoring junior members of the digital team and raising the profile of the digital capabilities and services / products across the group.

    You’ll enjoy spotting and developing opportunities across a high profile client base, turning projects into accounts whilst supporting with new business opportunities and leading pitches where required.

    A commercial thinker you’ll work with the senior team to forecast and projects, helping to determine the financial performance of projects and departments.

    You’ll also be instrumental in identifying frameworks, processes and systems that allow the digital strategy to work to scale.

    Turning to project delivery you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth running of a range of digital projects, including virtual, online tools, apps, digital comms, animation, platforms etc.

    Acting as the conduit between the client, the technical delivery team and translating customer needs into the most appropriate solution.

    You’ll oversee and manage the full digital project lifecycle from initial scoping, planning, estimating and scheduling, through to co-ordinating information architecture, user experience, digital design, coding and testing and full implementation.

    With this comes the facilitation and definition and planning of functional and technical specifications.

    You’ll effectively plan and prioritise deliverables and resources with the teams Traffic Manager, working with the client services team to ensure clients are receiving the highest attention and ensuring that delivery of projects on time, on budget, and on brief.

    This is a client facing role where your expertise will be valued.

    What you’ll need to apply

  • A solid history of relevant digital project management experience, ideally gained within an agency environment in a senior role.
  • Confident working alongside the technical team to specify and document technical solutions
  • Have held relevant senior project management positions, ideally having grown a digital department and / or offer through expertise and strategic ability
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity in all work efforts and be able to mobilise and persuade others
  • Prior experience working on short- and long-term projects that involve continuous analysis to support iterative deployments, measurement and reporting
  • Excellent understanding of commercial processes, able to demonstrate delivery of consistently profitable projects
  • Experienced in using both Agile and traditional project management techniques
  • Be an expert at own time management and setting own and others work goals
  • Confident to have tough conversations with our team and with clients, with a view to always deliver above client expectations
  • Have a very good understanding of wider usability and accessibility constraints and opportunities within the industry and the ability to draw on expertise to continually improve in this area
