The aim of the AWS Greenfield Business Development team is to help startups grow and succeed. Leveraging programs, people and AWS services.

The Greenfield segment is vast, and Greenfield customers are highly varied. As such, the SBD team relies upon scalable programs and initiatives that can extend their reach and engage with as many Greenfield customers as possible.

As a Senior Program Manager on the Strategic Programs Team, you will focus on shaping and delivering programs to continue to develop the work of the EMEA Greenfield Business Development team.

You will play a central role in delivering parts of the global strategy but also be given the chance to incubate new EMEA born programs and influence Global Greenfield segment priorities.

On a daily basis you will primarily work with the EMEA Greenfield Business development (SBD) team at all levels to create scalable programs and mechanisms that drive customer adoption, align with EMEA SBD team goals and meet all AWS’ Greenfield customer needs.

The EMEA Strategic Programs Team (SPT) is part of the EMEA Segments and Acceleration Programs Team (ESAP) and consists of different program teams / expertise : Acceleration Programs, Customer Programs, and Strategic Engagements.

They focus on a defined list of strategic customers across EMEA, developing scalable programs and capabilities, run pilots to sustain success with continuous improvement & deliver and implement solutions.

The programs evolve dynamically based on the needs of our customers during their different stages of adopting cloud into their business, thus giving a varied experience of developing and delivering change across different industries and phases

Job responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working with the EMEA Greenfield BD team in proposing, designing and executing scalable programs across customers’ cloud adoption life-cycle in collaboration with the cross-functional stakeholder teams across the Greenfield segment organisation.
  • Special focus in building and managing high-touch programs which will influence potentially thousands of customers; enabling AWS to engage with the long tail market without engaging specialist resources
  • Work closely with EMEA and Global Greenfield Business development teams to identify priority areas for program incubation and iteration.
  • Once approved, help deploy pilot and scale growth programs in the field working with enablement, regional business development teams, and account teams.
  • Manage growth programs, assess performance, pivot and evolve programs based on observed data to improve programs efficacy and performance.
  • Build qualification, governance model and reporting mechanisms for insights into the business performance and associated growth programs.

  • Qualification in Economics, Business or related field
  • Experience in the enterprise / verticals sector in program management, business development, solutions.
  • Experience in project / program management with the knowledge to develop go to market initiatives from conception to launch.
  • Ability to create and refine existing business processes and workflows
  • A proven capability of being a business advisor, and influencing teams, across a matrix organisation
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Relevant work experience in multiple industry markets and industry ecosystems.
  • Ability to work as a key contributor, partner cross-functionally, and be self-motivated in a fast-paced and rapidly changing technology environment
  • Understanding of cloud technology, AWS services and their relevance to the enterprise and industry workloads
