In this role you will be at the forefront of that transformation leading the work on creating agility across the entirety of our unit, working with the rest of BT as necessary.
You will coach the teams to create more value, faster, safely and with motivated team.
You'll have the following responsibilities
We are big in really, really big global large-scale IP Network and IT services : everything about them from bringing new tech on line to 24x7 operations, design, test, build, field services
Software engineering : exploiting a range of software languages and cloud environments such as AWS and Google, truly embracing the hybrid skills of the future.
Although a good degree of automation exists there is much more that can be achieved
Cloud and Data centres : we build them, run them
Cybersecurity : more on that when you get here .
Network delivery, project management, agile coaching
Field engineering services in exchanges, data centres, mobile for networks and energy
Collectively we work more and more in an Agile / Kanban model, uniquely positioning us with the flexibility to exploit the best of DevOps practices
You will be part of the unit SMT leading the transformation of the entire unit, Networks and BT overall
You'll have the following skills & experience
You love transforming teams, ways of working, technology and know-how to go about identifying those key changes and delivering them.
You have a strong track record of large transformation initiatives and great engagement
You are a teacher, coach, agile-lean practitioner, facilitator
You coach leaders too
You have experience of coaching teams so they can become agile themselves and sustain it
You have enough technology knowledge to make your agile skills relevant to our space including the technology enablers to true agility
You don’t use an agile framework but focus on outcomes and use your goody bag of techniques, tools, experience to help teams to continuously improve their agility
You tackle the hard things
