A little about the team...

The Technology Support Services (TSS) team's primary objective is to ensure the smooth running of day to day technical objectives, with an emphasis on delivering against small projects and tasks set for the team to fulfill.

The role also entails technical incident management along with providing an overall excellent customer service for the employees at Ocado’s Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Erith and associated sites.

TSS is a dynamic and professional environment with new challenges and technologies being constantly developed and deployed within Ocado.

The successful applicant will work closely with team technicians and will need to take the initiative to assist and progress incidents and situations where necessary.

What you will do...

  • Provide technical services & support for the designated site
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of technology devices within the warehouse such as pick stations, scanners,computing devices,CCTV, WAP and more
  • Delivering a 1st class customer service

  • Proven previous experience in a technical support capacity
  • A good understanding of network infrastructures
  • Strong customer service
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders to ensure an effective service which promotes the team
  • Strong team player, ensuring the team is sharing knowledge and operating effectively
  • Proven ability to engage effectively in major incident management with the business
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with other technical teams to ensure a speedy resolution to issues
  • Strong written and verbal communications, being comfortable liaising with various levels of stakeholder
  • Competent with creating, maintaining and distributing documentation, including reporting
  • Knowledge of Windows 7 / 8 / 10, MAC OS X, Android, iOS, technical hardware
  • Microsoft certification or equivalent (i.e. MCITP, ITIL, etc.) desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience of mentoring and assisting other members of the team
  • Please note that this role is shift work and would require you to work a mixture of day and night shifts, flexibility is required with working days.

    You'll work an average of 42 hours across each week.
