Your New Job
As Assistant Loan Manager, your role will be to provide portfolio and property secured loans to current clients. You will provide first line support for all client lending enquires, liaising directly with clients, fund managers and other members of the group specifically in relation to property secured loans (i.
e. regulated mortgages). You will implement Banking Committee approved policies and documented procedures and provide cover for the Loan Manager in relation to production of management information and completion of quarterly regulatory returns.
You will manage client loan / mortgage applications from initial enquiry to drawdown of funds including the provision of the relevant pre-contractual advice to clients, collation of supporting documents allowing internal affordability assessment to be undertaken, liaising with relevant members of the Banking Committee to ensure the appropriate level of approval is obtained before issuing contracts for signature, issuing of agreements and corresponding documents to clients for execution.
Alongside these duties, you will also be responsible for line management of Loan Officers within the team.
Your Experience & Our Requirements
To apply for this role you must MUST have undertaken the CII / CeMAP Level 3 Mortgage Advisor qualification alongside having experience with FCA’s CONC and MCOB regulations and people management skills.
You will be an established financial services professional who keeps up to date with developments in the industry, including new products, legislation and regulation.
You will have strong proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint and Word and confident communication skills.
With excellent organisational skills, you must be able to work in a flexible manner and meet changing priorities and be comfortable with working within a changing environment.
