Responsibilities
Product support for specific products (for which training will be given), including telephone and on site support when required
Management of requests for specials and bespoke solutions
Technical and marketing input to new product development projects
Preparation of technical product documentation
Liaison with Engineering and Project teams
Key requirements
A degree or HND in a technical discipline
A background and ability in dealing with customers UK and overseas
Strong technical background in a Mechanical or Electronics related discipline
Practical hands on product support
Good report writing skills
A logical approach to problem solving
A full, valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK
Desirable requirements
Familiarity with the operation of motion systems and linear motors
An understanding of any or all of the following industry sectors would be an advantage :
Motion systems, linear motors and precision stages
Electronics SMT
Semiconductor processing and handling
Machine tool manufacturing
Person specification
The successful applicant will be a highly organised self starter, capable of finishing tasks on time and to a high standard.
They will have an inquisitive nature and confidence in expressing a point of view. Finally good communication skills are essential.
