We have a further site in Clay Cross Derbyshire where our oil boilers are manufactured.

Job Description

  • Purchasing Engineering :
  • Ensure that component specifications are understood and agreed by the supply base.
  • Engineering for new product development.
  • Ensure quotations are complete & populate the Total cost of ownership’ tool with data for evaluation.
  • Prepare comparison of quotation’ forms for presentation to the sourcing meeting for supplier nomination.
  • Order initial samples for new parts for both international and locally managed projects.
  • Ensure Initial Sample submissions are complete and delivered on time.
  • Place sample orders to support appliance build milestones.
  • Complete Advanced Quality Planning’ for relevant components.
  • Purchasing Quality :

  • Raising and processing non-conformance notifications as necessary.
  • Raising goods returns notes and returning parts to suppliers as necessary.
  • Operating SAP QM.
  • Dealing with internal cross departmental teams.
  • Dealing with external suppliers as required.
  • Analysis, update and development of Purchase Quality database as necessary.
  • Analysis and investigation of internal and external complaints, parts and products.
  • Create investigation reports as required.
  • Operate, improve and develop Laboratory test equipment as necessary.
  • Provide technical support to production and other departments regarding non-conformances.
  • Qualifications

  • Maths and Science GCSE grade B or above.
  • Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent further education courses, Other qualifications / appropriate industrial experience may be considered for admission on an individual basis.
  • Computer literate and proficient user of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels / functions within the business.
  • Highly self-motivated, excellent communication and analytical skills
