The Opportunity

Save the ChildrenInternational are currently recruiting a Junior Project Manager within ourSupply Chain team based in central London.

At the frontline ofthe work done by Save the Children International (SCI), our people rely onhaving the right tools and resources to do their work to the biggest possibleimpact.

Our Supply Chain is currentlycomplex, reactive and manual, leading to significant challenges. As part of a portfolio of projects aimed atbecoming a High Performing Organisation (HPO), we are currently transformingour fragmented, reactive and transactional supply chain to a carefully plannedend-

to-end ecosystem, all the way from demand & supply strategic planningand supplier management to inbound logistic, warehouse and fleet management.

Itis comprehensive, working across four distinct functions of a Supply Chain :

  • Procurement
  • Warehousing &Distribution

    And the key areas :
  • Emergency
  • Nutrition

    This role is part of theteam putting the new Supply Chain people, processes and systems in place. It is a hands-on role working with the SupplyChain Director in the successful running of the programme.

    It will include engagement with each of the 9streams of work shown above.

    In order to be successfulyou will bring / have :

  • Experience managing project activities and follow through to ensure accountability for timelines and delivery of the project
  • Strong Project Planning skills
  • Proficient demonstrable skills in managing and reporting projects within a Portfolio Office / PMO structure
  • Experienced in coordinating and tracking risks, issues and dependencies
  • Ability to resolve issues swiftly and decisively whilst safeguarding standards and procedures
  • Some experience managing budgets including monthly budgeting cycles and annual budget reviews
  • Resilience to respond and where necessary push back where demands are pulling in multiple direction or exceeding reasonable capacity to deliver on commitments
  • The salary for thisposition is £37,380 to £41,900 based on skills & experience plus acompetitive benefits package including a contributory pension, 30 days ofannual leave and flexible working policies.
