We currently have a position available for an Engineer to join our busy Luton depot. As an Engineer, you will maintain, service, and repair powered access equipment consisting of spider lifts and ancillary equipment, in depot and as required while on customer sites, as directed by management, ensuring the standards set by the Company are met consistently.

This includes diagnosis of faults, ensuring they are found in a timely manner and to identify correct solutions to rectify the fault, ensure service and repair logs are kept up to dates and accurate and carry out vehicle checks every morning to ensure oil and water levels are sufficient, lights are working and tyres have the legal tread.

Due to the nature of this job, you are to ensure you adhere to HSE regulations, making sure you are wearing full PPE and report any concerns regarding health and safety to your line manager.

Academic qualifications :

  • Basic numeracy and literacy
  • A recognised qualification (NVQ 3) in mechanical plant or agricultural engineering (Essential)
  • Competent Assessed Person qualification in order to carry out Thorough Examinations (Preferred)
  • Knowledge / background :

  • Demonstrates competency with Canbus systems
  • Competent with electrical diagnostics / reading of schematic wiring diagrams
  • Demonstrates competency with hand held analysis tools & software
  • Valid driving license
  • Specialist knowledge of specific fleet products
  • Flexible attitude to working additional hours as required
